Halloween has always been associated with costumes, but the way people dressed up for it has changed dramatically over the years. From creepy homemade disguises and genuinely terrifying masks in the early 1900s to elaborate movie-inspired outfits and pop-culture references today, Halloween costumes have evolved into a tradition of their own. What once revolved around frightening away evil spirits has become a celebration of creativity, horror, and humour, with people going all out to make their costumes unforgettable. And somehow, the old-school costumes still manage to be some of the creepiest.
Four years later revisiting a full-mouth rehabilitation in a patient with dentinogenesis imperfecta. The goal was to restore tooth form, function, and esthetics while preserving as much of the remaining tooth structure as possible. This carousel takes you through the process: β–ͺ️ Smile design and incisal edge positioning β–ͺ️ Planning the vertical dimension of occlusion with the Smile Design and Space concept β–ͺ️ Creating restorative space β–ͺ️ Mock-up evaluation and crown lengthening β–ͺ️ Mock-up-guided preparation, with no preparation on the occlusal and palatal surfaces β–ͺ️ Adhesively bonded IPS e.max Press veneers and vonlays, with a cut-back technique One of the key decisions in this case was balancing the masking of the underlying discoloration with tooth preservation. Ceramic translucency, shade, and cement color were all part of that planning. The final photographs show the result at the four-year follow-up. Despite some minor recessions so far so good. Returning to a case years after treatment is one of the most valuable parts of documenting our work.
