She found them in Bruce Lee’s speed, Michelle Yeoh’s presence, Kill Bill’s Beatrix Kiddo and the video games she spent her childhood playing. It is an ambition informed by the women who opened doors before her, but also by what she still finds missing. Story picked out our costume this year. For months she’s been planning it. “Mom! You’re gonna be Dora, I’m gonna be Boots, Renny can be your backpack and Daddy is Swiper.” 🎃🧡
