1990 Squale unit issue watch for 5° Btg Paracadutisti “El Alamein” as we continue #militarywatchweek. The unit crest is at the 12 o’clock position. This translates to the 5th Parachute Battalion (now the 186th Regiment) Folgore Parachute Brigade. The battalion name refers to the famous WWII battle they fought in. The watch is a Squale quartz Y1553.

I bought this watch because I was stationed in Italy from 1986-1989 and had an “on call” mission with the 3/325th Airborne Battalion Task Force. As such, I jumped with several Italian airborne units to include this unit. When I saw this watch available, I knew I had to get it.

Another beautiful day at the beach.

Happy birthday Zeeeeebs ♥️🌸 @zeebamiraie
Miss us all, and our shoots in cold cold Delhi Decembers .

When your crush casually says “I love you” and your heart forgets that you’re supposed to act normal.

In 27 Dresses (2008), Katherine Heigl’s Jane Nichols finds herself in an adorably awkward moment with her boss, George, played by Edward Burns. After he thanks her for being thoughtful, he casually tells her that’s why he loves her. Jane, who has secretly been in love with him, immediately responds that she loves him too, before realizing how much she has just revealed.

What makes this scene so funny is the difference between what George means and what Jane hears. For him, it’s an innocent expression of appreciation, but for her, it’s practically the confession she’s been dreaming about. Her delighted smile, sudden embarrassment, and attempt to recover turn a simple office conversation into a painfully relatable romantic comedy moment.

Directed by Anne Fletcher, 27 Dresses follows Jane as she spends so much time helping other people find happiness that she struggles to recognize what she wants for herself. This little exchange perfectly captures the excitement and embarrassment of having feelings for someone who has no idea how much they mean to you. Save this scene or share it with someone who has accidentally made their crush a little too obvious.
