The very first album we released on Ed Banger records! I have to credit Xavier de Rosnay for pushing me to release this record in 2006. Mehdi was often hanging out at Justice studio. I had 30 demos of Mehdi, I thought it sounded more like mixtapes to me. But I felt Mehdi wanted to reach more people, shocasing his production skills to a wider audience. He called Chromeo, Kavinsky, Fafi, Feadz, Xanax, Bogue and So Me to bring « Lucky Boy » to life! It was exactly 20 years ago today. Tonight we’ll celebrate our brother, not the fact that he left way too soon, but the power of his music genius and his power to bring people together.
