As Pitbull Awareness month wraps up we wanted to spread some pittie love 🩵.

Many of us in rescue started just like everyone else - we may have had bias against pitties based on stories we’ve heard or how the media portrays them.

But if you love a pittie, you’ve probably had to defend them to multiple people, because they are literally scared of their own shadow. It’s so heartbreaking to see shelters full of them, knowing so many of them are truly just sweet little couch potatoes who just want to bake in the sun, and be near you.

We wish more people got to know the dogs we know. The couch hogs, the blanket burrowers, the kid nannies, the wiggle butts, the ones who insist on sitting in your lap even though they weigh 60 pounds.

There are so many sitting in shelters waiting for someone to give them a chance. Help us break the stereotypes and change the stigma 🫶🏼.
