สุดสะเทือนใจในวงการกีฬา น้องเอยา นักกอล์ฟเยาวชนหญิง ถูกฟ้าผ่าระหว่างเกิดพายุฝนฟ้าคะนองรุนแรงคาสนามกอล์ฟแห่งหนึ่ง ในพื้นที่อำเภอบางน้ำเปรี้ยว จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา เมื่อช่วงเย็นของวันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน ได้รับบาดเจ็บสาหัส ถูกนำตัวส่งโรงพยาบาลอย่างเร่งด่วน ขณะที่แคดดี้วัย 31 ปีซึ่งอยู่ในเหตุการณ์เดียวกันได้รับบาดเจ็บเพียงเล็กน้อย

ความหวังของครอบครัวต้องสิ้นสุดลง เมื่อแม่ของน้องเอยาโพสต์ข้อความสุดสะเทือนใจผ่านเฟซบุ๊กเมื่อวันที่ 2 พฤศจิกายน ระบุว่า ไม่มีพ่อแม่คนไหนอยากปล่อยมือลูกไป แต่ตนและสามีจำเป็นต้องตัดสินใจให้น้องได้พักผ่อนอย่างสงบ เพื่อไม่ให้ลูกสาวต้องทนทุกข์ทรมานกับความเจ็บปวดอีกต่อไป

แม่เปิดเผยนาทีบีบหัวใจว่า เอยาเป็นเด็กที่เข้มแข็งมาก หัวใจของลูกหยุดเต้นไปนานเกือบหนึ่งชั่วโมงหลังเกิดเหตุฟ้าผ่า แต่ร่างกายยังคงต่อสู้กลับมาได้ครั้งแล้วครั้งเล่า ยื้อลมหายใจประคองตัวเองข้ามคืน เพื่อรอให้พ่อบินด่วนกลับมาพบหน้า เพื่อกล่าวคำบอกลาเป็นครั้งสุดท้าย

ทางครอบครัวระบุว่า ขณะนี้ยังไม่พร้อมให้สัมภาษณ์หรือพูดคุยกับผู้ใด โดยเตรียมรับร่างของน้องเอยากลับมาประกอบพิธีกรรมทางศาสนาในวันนี้ ท่ามกลางความโศกเศร้าและความอาลัยจากครอบครัว ญาติสนิท รวมถึงเพื่อนร่วมวงการกอล์ฟอย่างล้นหลาม

There is a massive difference between treating fitness as a phase and treating it as a way of living.
When you see those of us in our 40s and beyond who are in incredible shape, you are looking at people who stopped making sacrifices a long time ago. Instead, we made a choice.
To the outside world, our lifestyle looks like a series of restrictions. No nights out, no junk food, no breaks. People think we possess superhuman willpower.
But from the inside, it requires almost no willpower at all.
Why? Because we made that choice which shifted our identity. We don’t crave junk food because it doesn’t agree with the body anymore. Instead, we eat what fuels us and makes us function well. There is no feeling of deprivation when your actions align perfectly with your values. For us, it isn’t a sacrifice; it is the ultimate form of self-respect.
Now, look at the other side of the coin.
A lot of people who look incredible at 25 will not maintain that look into their 40s.
At 25, youth provides a natural biological buffer. A fast metabolism and rapid recovery can easily compensate for a lot of lifestyle inconsistencies. The trap is that when staying in shape requires less effort, it’s easy to treat fitness as a temporary project rather than learning how to truly live this way.
But youth eventually expires. When that biological buffer fades and life gets complicated, a temporary project mindset completely collapses. You cannot outwork a changing biology without deep roots.
For us, fitness isn’t a project we run to when we have time—it is part of our daily life.
