FREEDOM OF RELIGION in the United States is protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which was ratified on December 15, 1791, as part of the Bill of Rights. The very first amendment in our constitution gives people a right to not be a Christian conservative. Why is this so hard for Republicans to grasp? They have no problem understanding the second amendment.
