I heard this recently, and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head.
At 62, I think about how much time I spent taking someone’s opinion personally without ever asking myself why I valued it so much.
Honey, you can be open to feedback without letting every comment change how you feel about yourself.
Keep being the person who gives the compliment. Who celebrates someone else’s good news. Who makes people feel welcome before they’ve done anything to impress you.
Whether you’re 22 or 62, there’s always room for more people like that. And there’s always room to become one. 🤍
