Shay Bredimus’ striking monochromatic glass work “Cartomancy” utilizes textures you have to see in person to fully appreciate. “Cartomancy” draws from the practice of assigning symbolic meanings to playing cards as a form of divination. Created in collaboration with Judson Studios, this fused-glass work is a contemporary Gothic stained-glass composition illuminated from behind with LEDs and housed in a custom frame finished using a traditional Italian red-clay-over-wood technique.
