Vallotton leaves so much unsaid between the two of them. The distance does half the work.

تفاصيل لوحة فالوتون ممتعة فعلاً، نظرات الزوجين وإيماءاتهم تخلي الواحد يوقف قدامها ويتأمل القصة.

Psychological realism. Vallotton liked to depict the hidden tension in relationships between men and women.
