🚫No posts. No stories. No content.

This week, I’m going dark to protest Meta’s use of our content to train AI without meaningful consent.

Our words are not training data.
Our stories are not free resources.
Our art is not raw material for machines to replicate.

Behind every book is a human being. Someone who spent months, sometimes years, creating characters, building worlds, pouring their experiences into words, and putting a piece of themselves on the page.

And behind every Bookstagram account is a community of readers, reviewers, creators, and authors who make this space what it is.

Creativity deserves protection. Artists deserve consent. And the people who create the things we love deserve to have a say in how their work is used.

Because without creators, there is no content.

Largely liberal leaning community "going dark" over election day? No thanks.

But please still vote! We will not remain silent while our rights are being ripped away from us!

Hey just a thought-the "go dark" movement may be coming from groups that want you to be offline, uninformed, and disconnected during election week. But do what's best for you!
