🇹🇭 48 HOURS IN BANGKOK? PLEASE DON’T MAKE THIS MISTAKE.
Grand Palace, Chatuchak, Chinatown, three malls AND every viral restaurant in two days? 😵💫
Bangkok isn’t exhausting. Your itinerary is.
Here’s how I’d spend 48 hours: art, design, local food and far less time in traffic. 📌 SAVE THIS.
🧡 DAY 1 — RIVERSIDE, CREATIVE STREETS & CHINATOWN
10:30 AM 🎨 River City Bangkok — Art, antiques & river views (general entry FREE).
12 PM 🏭 Warehouse 30 — Restored warehouses, galleries & independent shops.
1 PM 🍜 Lunch in Charoen Krung. No cross-city detour!
2 PM 🚶 Explore historic streets, street art & architecture.
3 PM 📚 TCDC — Thai design in the historic Grand Postal Building.
5:30–6:30 PM 🌃 Yaowarat Chinatown — Neon signs, Thai-Chinese noodles, seafood & desserts. Nearest useful MRT: Wat Mangkon.
💙 DAY 2 — HERITAGE, ART & MODERN BANGKOK
10 AM 🌿 Jim Thompson House — Teak houses & gardens. Guided tour required; adult ticket 250 THB.
12 PM 🖼️ BACC — Contemporary exhibitions & stunning architecture (general entry FREE).
1:30 PM 🍽️ Lunch near National Stadium.
2:30 PM 🛍️ Siam Square — Thai fashion, independent boutiques & youth culture. NOT Siam Paragon!
4:30 PM ☕ Choose: more shops, a café break or extra art.
6:30 PM 🍲 Banthat Thong Road — Noodles, hotpot & desserts. Skip the queues if they’re too long.
⚠️ BEFORE YOU GO:
• TCDC & BACC close Mondays; many Yaowarat street-food vendors also take Monday off.
• Check exhibition schedules and extra fees.
• Allow TWO full days. Wear comfortable shoes; use BTS/MRT when convenient.
