THE REALEST WITCH by DREIA WELLS
If you thought cozy couldn't be spicy, think again! Dreia Wells brought the heat and the sweet and produced a magical world I don't want to leave! In the previous book, we got Keisha's story, which was a delight a minute. This book is all about her bestie, Bea and her return to Ruby Springs. Well, hers and a few hunks, who appear after a 20 year absence.... men Bea wants nothing to do with.
Bea, a witch, through an ancient covenant, was bound to mate with said Jaguars. Which she opposed, vehemently, ever since she was a teen herself. She wouldn't and won't let any old custom dictate her life, or anyone for that matter. Her constant is "I choose me." But everything turns belly up for Bea, when 4 Jaguar shifters return of Ruby Springs. I really loved the diversity of the characters, I loved how patient and understanding the Jaguar shifters were, slowly embedding themselves into Bea's life. Never pushing, even though they knew Bea was their fated mate, always respectful and, most importantly, constantly supportive. And when they launched Operation Swoon, I laughed so hard! Dreia really gives the sweetest account of all the characters. She gives them depth and coolness and heck if I'm not swooning myself! I loved the beautiful bond the men had with each other, another Dreia coolness, she gives me true family vibes in every book I've read.
Mystery, mayhem, magic and a very delicious romance play a pivotal role in this book. As does self evaluation and growth, beautifully showcased by Dreia, it's a true coming of age, of aligning and processing all that matters and realising strength comes in many forms. Light and swoony, hot and spicy, with it's feet firmly planted in the cozy vibes, this book was an absolute delight! I'm loving this series immensely, I'm really looking forward to Zane's story, hopefully it won't be too long a wait!
