RELEASE DAY! STEALING FATE by ANGEL HAZE It's amazing how full this very short story is, which just proves, once again, how extremely talented this author is! This short story was a very intense read. Featuring one of my all time favourite MMC, Killien, we see a softer side to him, we see a gentle, caring brother, who will go to the ends of the world to protect his baby sister Fate. But Fate is different, Fate has abilities that confound and fear those around her. Yes, she can be dangerous but it's not intensional. The emotions were off the charts in this read. I don't know who I felt more for, baby Fate or Killien. Fate just wants to be loved, smiled at, accepted. And her unusual, powerful magic explodes from her when she's distressed, angry or afraid. The only ones who care enough to keep her happy and calm, are Killien and sibling, Ciara. Both go through extraordinary lengths to keep Fate's abilities concealed. An almost impossible task considering so many are after Fate. Fear is a dangerous emotion though, and Gabriel, a guard for the queen, is torn between doing what he thinks is right at the expense of a child's life. His choice has major repercussions, for him too. Emotive, tense, unexpected. The author captured, beautifully, Killien's vulnerability towards his family without losing the hardcoreness of who he is. The depth of character of Killien is outstanding and it comes through impeccably. I just adore how tender he is with Fate, how understanding he is, what he's willing to do to protect her. I loved the intrigue of who wants to get hold of Fate and why. But hell, I honestly wasn't expecting that WHO! The action scenes were impressively heart stopping and the twist at the end, gobsmack phenomenal All the elements of the read made my head spin and tummy ache, the author sure don't hold back the punches! It's gritty and dark but it shows such a gentle side to Killien, a caring, protective brother, who accepts his sibling for all her strangeness. The pacing is excellent and it was visually all vivid. I'm always stunned at the emotions Ms Haze wrings out of me, true, real emotions. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/8996518313 by @beba.andrich
WILDE by ANJA BARRONS I read the original book, but hells bells and cocker shells, I was NOT expecting this revamped version to gut me even more! OMG! What this author does, HOW she does it, is a phenomenon! The rawness of the characters, the rawness of the emotional onslaught threatened my very soul! This is biker club, this is Mafia, this is dark, this is spicy, hell, THIS has everything decadent and delicious in an awesome package! We get a glimpse of a very devastated, 17 year old Bou, and her brother, Celt, at a funeral. Her father's funeral. And the shift in the Ridge MC hierarchy, heralding in a new president of the club, Rex. 11 years later, a fiercely independent Bou has her own shop, fixing and adorning bikes, which she excells at. Her brother Celt is a cop. Both have their lives pretty intact after the tragedy but the Ridge MC is constantly causing grief, in one way or another. Fending off the club members is second nature to her, staying out of their clutches and keeping herself excluded from club politics. Except, the Prez, Rex, has other ideas in mind. Before she can wrap her head around these demands, a crash compels her to go to the aid of an injured man and, yes.... that's when the sh*t starts to hit the fan! In the form of a very sexy Wilde...Helping him, nursing him, is the start of a fire igniting, burning them to the core. For both of them. Neither know what to do with the churning feelings, both have built up walls around themselves. But oh hell, the sparks that fly between them could detonate a small town! And yes, although the embers are super hot, this book captured the rawness of the characters, what they'd endured. Good glory did the author annihilate me with their past! Her ease at bringing horrific scenes to the fore, of showcasing the brutality, and highlighting the strengths of characters, has me literally glued to the pages! This read did unimaginable things to me, my seams started fraying, until I was torn apart, ripped good and solid. Vividly graphic, emotionally distressing, gruesomely horrific, Ms Barrons slashed at me. And I stood there, willingly, allowing each strike, as I sucked in every word of her riveting story. by @beba.andrich

Feared throughout Greece, their skill on the battlefield is unrivalled. But when a ship lands on their shores, it brings something more dangerous than the threat of war. It brings a future Hippolyte could never have imagined. Swept away to Athens, Hippolyte discovers a love that challenges even the bonds of sisterhood and the life she has always known. But can she leave her warrior past behind and forge a new future? With her sister gone, Penthesilea has no choice but to rise as the new Amazon Queen. Lacking Hippolyte’s compassion and restraint, she rules with an impulsiveness and ferocity that strike terror throughout the Aegean. If you are a fan of epic tales, powerful female characters and mythology retellings, you are going to love Hannah Lynn’s Queens of Themiscyra. #greekmythology #amazonian #godsanddemigods #relaunch by @beba.andrich
This was unlike anything I'd read before, so, honestly, I was apprehensive going in. But... this IS Tim Frankovich... and as a fan of his work, I was curious. This was a mishmash of genres and even time periods but you know what? IT WORKED! And I can only accredit it to the penmanship of this author. This book takes me back to my childhood, to the cowboys and Indians battles of will in movies. The tension and distrust of the era is palpable but add in a dragon, and, I get a whole new level of enjoyment! The recount of one John Fulman at the start of each chapter, adds an extra layer of intrigue. And it's precisely because of this account that Texas Rangers, Elijah and Ward are tasked, by their Captain, to investigate. At the behest of the wealthy Richard King, who speaks of this strange event, and, even more enticing, a rumour of a massive gold haul. With King's lackey in toe, Crutchfield, they embark on a quest for truth, none know the answer to. Their journey leads them to the widow of John Fulman and the priest that recorded his bizarre experience before he passed away. Both of whom tag along to learn the truth. Elijah and Ward are honourable, their purpose, to smite a fire breathing dragon, runs parallel with the greed of some treasure seekers, making their task more difficult and an already challenging mission, almost impossible. Thanks to the likes of Massingale and an enigmatic newcomer, Streck. Gosh did I love how earnest both Ward and Elijah are, their 'brotherhood' vibe clearly defined, their goals well known. What wasn't known, was the enigma of Ward. The author alluded to Ward being different, to something unique about him but not giving up more than a smattering of hints. Until he opened that door and totally threw me for a loop! Like wow! Elijah's reality is shattered! As with all of Tim's books, there is more to this read than just a story. There's focus on grief and the stages of it, the guilt associated with it, the growth that stems from it. There's action, there's anguish, there are real issues being solved. All through the guise of fantasy. The characters are filled out, inch by inch, until the entire cast stands out and I feel them all by @beba.andrich

Gosh, I didn't know what to expect with this read, being new to this author, and I was pleasantly surprised by what unfolded before me. A young woman, Magdelne, a scholar and wanting to devour as much knowledge as she can, is sent as an apprentice to a wizard. A wizard who, over the years, has rejected every apprentice sent to him. Magdelne assumes this is to be her fate too. Not so...after a weird trial, she's accepted by the wizard, Amon, and so starts her new reality. One of confusion, strange dreams purpose and determination. Oh, and added to all of this, there's a dragon... And a castle...and goblins... While Magdelne is pretty much an open book, I enjoyed her character immensely. Her enthusiasm for learning, is only bested by her genuine compassion. She's smart and no cringing damsel in distress, even when she SHOULD be concerned, she refuses to buckle or bow down. I loved the strength she portrayed and the strength she found, both magically as well as internally. But Amon is an enigma, to me as well as to Magdelne, he's character is indescribable, his actions are indescribable, HE is indescribable. And then....and THEN! Golly did the author throw me a doozy! Like what now??? The author genuinely made me gape where she took the story next, upping the stakes 1000 fold. The interlude, the tension, the yearning, is palpable between Magdelne and Amon, until it's not.... Oh did I love the twist! Oh did my heart cry for Epiphron, what he had to endure. While not a particularly fast paced read, it's very much a steady one. The first third of the book captures Magdelne's thoughts, travels and various encounters convincingly. Her reactions are believable and her excitement palpable. But so too, later in the book, are her doubts and feelings of inadequacy, and her resolve to right a wrong, irrespective of what the challenges are. And challenging they are! The author did a great job of keeping me clueless of which direction she was going, she kept my interest piqued with the characters, their interactions and the unfolding of their respective pasts. She even got me holding my breath a time or four! Full review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/9065979583 by @beba.andrich
THE REALEST WITCH by DREIA WELLS If you thought cozy couldn't be spicy, think again! Dreia Wells brought the heat and the sweet and produced a magical world I don't want to leave! In the previous book, we got Keisha's story, which was a delight a minute. This book is all about her bestie, Bea and her return to Ruby Springs. Well, hers and a few hunks, who appear after a 20 year absence.... men Bea wants nothing to do with. Bea, a witch, through an ancient covenant, was bound to mate with said Jaguars. Which she opposed, vehemently, ever since she was a teen herself. She wouldn't and won't let any old custom dictate her life, or anyone for that matter. Her constant is "I choose me." But everything turns belly up for Bea, when 4 Jaguar shifters return of Ruby Springs. I really loved the diversity of the characters, I loved how patient and understanding the Jaguar shifters were, slowly embedding themselves into Bea's life. Never pushing, even though they knew Bea was their fated mate, always respectful and, most importantly, constantly supportive. And when they launched Operation Swoon, I laughed so hard! Dreia really gives the sweetest account of all the characters. She gives them depth and coolness and heck if I'm not swooning myself! I loved the beautiful bond the men had with each other, another Dreia coolness, she gives me true family vibes in every book I've read. Mystery, mayhem, magic and a very delicious romance play a pivotal role in this book. As does self evaluation and growth, beautifully showcased by Dreia, it's a true coming of age, of aligning and processing all that matters and realising strength comes in many forms. Light and swoony, hot and spicy, with it's feet firmly planted in the cozy vibes, this book was an absolute delight! I'm loving this series immensely, I'm really looking forward to Zane's story, hopefully it won't be too long a wait! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/9049959349 #whychoose #cozyfantasy #curvygirl #newrelease #dreiawells by @beba.andrich

This book gripped so hard from the onset I didn't even stop to make notes! I just read and read and read, until I got to the end. Then I spent some time wiping the drool from my face and processing this incredibly read, before I wrote down a single word. So, let's start with this, Debbie is freaking amazing! This book is freaking amazing! And I want a Gabe so very much! You have no idea how awesome Gabe is! He is an angel, no, that's the truth, wings and all, but he's more mechanical than flesh. And he's Nova's protector. And, as unlikely as it is, he FEELS. He loves. He wants. So does Nova but heck, how??? I loved his fierceness and cocky attitude but he made me want to sob so many times, because of his condition. Gads is Nova exceptional! She's desperate to find out more about her origins, of who she is, of why she has a magic that's pretty much died out. I adore her loyalty and the love she has for her non human friends, Destiny and Rex. But it's her inner strength that stands out, never accepting defeat, always compassionate and caring, always putting others before herself. I just adore all the characters, Debbie brings them to life, into my living room, they become a part of me. The intensity of the bonds escalate in this book, Nova and Naxon, Gabe and Nova, Destiny, Kai, Drax, inexplicably bound. Oh boy does Debbie excel at character development. And found family. And... well, she excels at storytelling. This fast paced read is filled to the brim with emotions, with action, with determination, with tension, with yearning, with mystery and the most gorgeous, honest love there can be. I'll have to be patient but frek am I ready for the next book! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/9025086838 #spaceopera #scifiromance #newrelease #debbiecassidy by @beba.andrich
