New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani offered a runner a mid-race pep talk during the 2026 New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 1.

He was volunteering in Long Island City, Queens, where he joined others handing out water to participants near the halfway point of the 26.2-mile course.

Throughout his appearance, Mamdani greeted runners, offered high-fives and encouraged them as they continued toward the second half of the race.
Mamdani has previously completed the marathon himself, running in both 2022 and 2024 before returning this year to support participants from the sidelines.

এতটা ভালোবাসা, এতটা আপন করে নেওয়ার জন্য সকলকে জানাই আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ ও কৃতজ্ঞতা। ❤️

যেখানেই যাচ্ছি, পুজোর প্যান্ডেল থেকে শুরু করে সর্বত্র মানুষের মুখে মুখে শুধুই ‘দেবীপক্ষ’। প্রতিনিয়ত আপনাদের কাছ থেকে যে ভালোবাসা আর উচ্ছ্বাস পেয়ে চলেছি, তা সত্যিই আমাদের পরম প্রাপ্তি।

দুর্গাপুজো শেষ হয়েছে, কিন্তু দেবীপক্ষের উদযাপন যেন থামার নয়! এক মাস ধরে যে ভালোবাসা পেয়ে চলেছি, আশা করি আগামী দিনেও এই ভালোবাসার রেশ একইভাবে থেকে যাবে।

‘দেবীপক্ষ’-কে এতটা ভালোবাসা দেওয়ার জন্য প্রত্যেককে জানাই অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ ও ভালোবাসা। ❤️
