Amanda Pelkowski

Congratulations to LaTasha Hooper for pinning on MSgt today!! I had the honor of officiating the ceremony (how lucky am I that so many of my amazing teammates are right down the road?).

She may have been a TSgt when I met her and didn’t wear a diamond, but she worked her ass off as my First Sgt when our diamond wearer went to SNCOA (then was slated for a new unit) and we were without one for an indefinite amount of time. She held people accountable (never sugar coated) but they always knew how much she cared about them. Together (with the rest of the command team of course) we changed lives (some of those people were even in the audience today).

Truly a blessing to know and have served beside such a leader. Watch this one. She is going to keep doing amazing things.
