Allow me to reintroduced myself.

What would you like to know? Ask away. by @amanda.pelkowski

5.28.08. 17 years ago I walked across the freezing cold stage (yes you read that right, it snowed that am), saluted and hugged President Bush, and commissioned into the world’s great Air Force.

Best choice I ever made. If I hadn’t of joined, I wouldn’t have seen the world with the best people on the planet, met Scott (seriously, would have never happened, Army guy from Cali? No chance) and my best friends, and gotten some crazy beer stories. The @usairforce has given me more than I can ever repay. It’s been the honor of a lifetime to lead and serve in this capacity.

Time didn’t start flying until senior Captain, and now it’s blown by. I am so thankful for Airmen I’ve serve beside, the leaders who trusted and believed in me, and the most incredible friends I’ve met. Savor the moments, they go fast. by @amanda.pelkowski

Your turn. Best air frame…go. by @amanda.pelkowski

What did I miss? by @amanda.pelkowski

What did you do? Hope your Halloween was awesome.

We walked around the block to see all the trick or treaters (they block off the streets and the neighborhood is INTO halloween…everything is decorated and there are hundreds of kids its so fun) then got dressed up and went to a party on a rooftop and danced our faces off. by @amanda.pelkowski

Congratulations to LaTasha Hooper for pinning on MSgt today!! I had the honor of officiating the ceremony (how lucky am I that so many of my amazing teammates are right down the road?).

She may have been a TSgt when I met her and didn’t wear a diamond, but she worked her ass off as my First Sgt when our diamond wearer went to SNCOA (then was slated for a new unit) and we were without one for an indefinite amount of time. She held people accountable (never sugar coated) but they always knew how much she cared about them. Together (with the rest of the command team of course) we changed lives (some of those people were even in the audience today).

Truly a blessing to know and have served beside such a leader. Watch this one. She is going to keep doing amazing things. by @amanda.pelkowski

Attempting to break up the weeknight routine because we can. it’s so easy to do the same thing every night but we both were feeling the need to shake it up and try something new to stave off the mundane.

The Rave Run was so much fun. 2 quick miles and sauna/cold plunge/hot tub after party. Already excited for the next one.

What should we try next? by @amanda.pelkowski

I firmly believe that “the best way to stay in shape is to never get out of shape” -CZ, Carnivore Leadership, Silver Bullets @therealczcolonlopez

Since we moved to testing twice a year, I thought I would put my workouts to the test. The results showed me I need to pace myself better and stop doing long and slow all the time/more speed work.

Why do I do more than the max? Two reasons. 1) it’s my physical assessment of myself. Me v me every year. Stronger? Slacking? Crushing it? 2) If I can kick people out for their PT scores, I should be able to pass their PT test myself. I got a 98 on the males under 25 category. by @amanda.pelkowski

Which ones do you use on repeat?

-waived credit card fees (hello @americanexpress and @chasesapphire benefits)
-the @libby.app if you don’t mind planning ahead and potentially waiting for books, you can get audio/kindle books here for free
-TX meritorious service license plates (hello free airport and downtown parking and ridiculously low registration)
- @onepeloton like the netflix of workouts, all you need are dumbbells to get your butt kicked on demand, I am obsessed

Speaking of incredible leaders we hung with in DC…I finally got to meet SMMC Carlos Ruiz! I’ve admired the way the SMMC speaks to his Marines on social media for years (realizing that the youngest ones are best reached there). You can tell how much he cares for his Marines with all the extra effort he puts in to spend time with them and connect with them at all levels.

He was more incredible in person. 🇺🇸 if you want to feel inspired, go check him out at @usmcsgtmaj by @amanda.pelkowski

It’s CMSgt Tiffany Zaloudek’s birthday today and thought I would take a second to brag on her (especially because she closed out her 30s with something HUGE).

She received the Patriot Leadership Award and I was lucky enough to be in DC to celebrate the accomplishment with her and CMSAF JoAnne Bass.

It was an amazing night that left me inspired and in awe. I knew I was going to be surrounded by incredible men when I joined the military. The exceptional women I’ve met serving over the past 22 years has been one of the biggest joys (and surprises, I seriously didn’t think about it when I was about to join…I’d never heard the phrase sisters in arms before). 🇺🇸

Hell of a way to finish out a decade. Can’t wait to see what you do in your 40s. Happy birthday @therealtiffanyz!!! by @amanda.pelkowski

The coolest part of the 5 days was seeing my cadets see DC for the first time and get to meet leaders who I think are amazing and learn from them. Oh and tie all the things we’ve been learning in class (role of the president, civ control of the military, cocom’s, adcon vs opcon, joint force, etc) and then them see it in real life. 🇺🇸 by @amanda.pelkowski
