Because of @ricksteveseurope we knew to look for this treasure when we visited the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks on our stop at the port of Kotor, Montenegro. Over the 20 years that she embroidered this gift, her hair changed color which gave shading to the cherub’s hair, finishing with gray for Mary’s when completion was near.
