When Shannon first imagined motherhood, she pictured certain milestones and experiences. Life with Sawyer has unfolded differently, and along the way, Shannon has learned to see beauty in moments she might never have thought to look for.

One detail she shared stayed with us.

Sawyer loves to travel, but unfamiliar places can sometimes feel overwhelming. So their family travels in a motorhome, bringing familiar routines along while still making room for new experiences.

It's one of the things we find so meaningful about hearing directly from families. Behind an ordinary moment, there can be so much thought, care, and understanding that others never see.
