Join the School of Design for an open conversation with Dr. Hartmut Esslinger, the pioneering designer and founder of frog design, whose phrase, “form follows emotion”, became the touchstone of a generation.

Over a career spanning more than five decades, Esslinger has worked at the intersection of design, technology, business, and culture, creating products and visual languages that continue to shape how we experience the world. From developing Apple’s famous Snow White design language alongside Steve Jobs to creating influential work for Sony, NeXT, and Lufthansa, Esslinger has helped define some of the most recognizable designs of the modern era.

As the 2026 recipient of the Rowena Reed Kostellow Award, he joins Pratt ID for a conversation and open Q&A moderated by Tucker Viemeister. @tuckerviemeister
