Day 68 of posting a reason to stay every day for 100 days.
Today’s reason is when people remember things you like.
Ever since I was in high school, I’ve LOVED mint M&Ms. Back then, they only brought them out around Christmas time so my parents would put a bag in my stocking as well as inside the stockings for my brother and sister James Arcieri and Elyce Arcieri
Eventually, they made them available year round and that may have made interest wane in the general public, but not me. While I’m not indulging in mint m&ms daily, my mother-in-law did send me these today with a card that talked about how she hoped these would help soften all the frustrations concerning my knee and finger.
Another friend knew how much I love cheesecake and love a local cheesecake place, so when I first hurt my finger, he had it delivered to my house.
That’s the thing, if I ended my life, today, I’d never give my friends and family another chance to remember things that I like and do things special for me with that knowledge.
