I’ll never be able to repay her 🫶

People ask me what infertility was like for me… I’ll always talk about it, because the man’s side matters.

BUT…I’ll never pretend it was equal.

She had the needles. The scans. The drugs. The hospital stay. The losses happened in her body 💔

I had a few awkward tests and one small operation.

If your partner has been through all of that for you both, tell her today. She probably needs to hear it.

“Isn’t everyone on the autistic spectrum?” Spoiler: no. I hear this all the time, and it can feel incredibly invalidating. The spectrum isn’t a line from less autistic to more autistic. You might relate to some autistic traits, but that doesn’t mean everyone is on the spectrum. I find it more helpful to talk about support levels. I’m level one, so I have lower support needs than someone who’s level three, who might need round-the-clock care, for example. That doesn’t make one of us more autistic than the other. My support needs may be lower, but autism still has a huge impact on my life. Just as every neurotypical person is different, every neurodivergent person is too, and everyone’s experience is valid. Save this for the next time you need to explain why we aren’t all on the spectrum ❤️
