I have been diving deeply into the ancient mysteries of Sacred Union, the mysteries of divine love, sacred partnership and the meeting of souls.

And the more I explore, the more I feel that sacred union holds the potential to transform so much of our world.

Because when there is love within a family, children get to experience love as their first language. They learn how to love by being loved. They carry that knowing into their relationships, their communities and eventually their own families. And so love becomes something that can be passed down through generations, just as our wounds have been.

But sacred union is not simply about finding your soulmate or experiencing divine romance. It is an invitation to enter into a radically different relationship with life itself.

It means opening to all the frightened, wounded and guarded places within our hearts. Meeting all the places where we have stopped believing in love, where we fear intimacy, where we protect ourselves from being fully seen. Welcoming those places rather than abandoning them.

And it also means reclaiming the parts of ourselves we have repressed, judged or shamed. Our deepest desires, our pleasure, our sensuality, our wild side. Surrendering to the fullness of our being without making ourselves smaller to be loved.

And on this path, we will continually be invited to choose between control and love.

Because we cannot enter deeply into the mystery of love and remain in control.

And to let that love transform not only our own lives, but the generations that come after us.
