Nobody wants a quote that sounds like a riddle.

Ask how much it costs to build a house and get "well, it depends on the brick", and you've already lost them. People don't want to work through variables. They want an answer.

Same thing in home services. Parts and labor broken apart might feel precise to us, but to the customer it just feels like homework.

Give them the number. That's the whole sale.
