Completing an Ironman isn’t about the medal. It’s about the person you become on the way to the finish line.

The discipline.
The early mornings.
The days you didn’t feel like training but did it anyway.

Somewhere along the way you realize something…

You’re not the same person who signed up.

You’re stronger.
More disciplined.
More capable.

And once you prove you can do something like that…
life’s other problems don’t seem so big anymore. by @cody_novini

You learn a lot about yourself in an Ironman.

When your legs stop listening and your mind keeps fighting, you start to see who you’ve really been building.

Crossing that line wasn’t a victory lap... it was confirmation that discipline works.

And that the man on the other side is someone I’m proud I discovered. 💪 by @cody_novini

One accident shouldn’t take down everything you’ve built.

If your truck hits someone, they’re not just coming after the driver… they’re coming after the business. The profits. The assets. Everything.

Unless you’re structured the right way.

This is not legal advice. Consult your attorney.

Smart operators don’t keep everything under one roof. They separate it. One LLC owns the trucks. Another runs the business. Another holds the building.

So if something goes wrong?

They can only go after that one piece, not the entire operation.

That’s the difference between thinking like an owner… and thinking like someone with something to protect.

But don’t overcomplicate it too early.

If you’re just starting out, keep it simple. As you grow, that’s when structure becomes strategy.

Because one mistake shouldn’t cost you everything. by @cody_novini

There's a difference between praying for strength and praying for sight.

Prayer isn't about escaping the moment. It's asking God to show you where He already is in it.

He's not waiting for you to call Him in. He's already there. by @cody_novini

Nobody wants a quote that sounds like a riddle.

Ask how much it costs to build a house and get "well, it depends on the brick", and you've already lost them. People don't want to work through variables. They want an answer.

Same thing in home services. Parts and labor broken apart might feel precise to us, but to the customer it just feels like homework.

Give them the number. That's the whole sale. by @cody_novini

Most people never find out what they're truly capable of because they stop at 70%.

They save something for later or they hold something back.
They always leave a little in the tank.

But growth happens when you approach every rep, every workout, every challenge as if it's your last opportunity to give it everything you've got.

The lesson wasn't about finishing an Ironman.

It was about discovering that there's another level on the other side of discomfort.

How much more are you capable of if you stop holding back?🤔 by @cody_novini

Buyer's remorse doesn't usually come from the price. It comes from somebody else's opinion after the fact.

Someone always wants to brag they spent less and got a steal. Someone else wants to brag they spent more and got the best. Either way, your customer starts second-guessing a decision they already made.

The fix isn't a better price. It's telling them this conversation is coming before it happens.

Prepared customers don't panic. Surprised ones do. by @cody_novini

Your competitors’ 1-star reviews are basically a free business plan.

Go read them.
Not to judge them.
To study the pattern.
To find what matters to customers most.

In home services, most complaints come down to the same few things:

Showing up late, not answering the phone, poor communication, or customers feeling blindsided by price.

Fix those inside your company.

✔️ Tighten the schedule.
✔️ Answer the emergency calls.
✔️ Communicate before the customer has to chase you.
✔️ Build enough value that they understand what they’re paying for.

They’re not just paying for a part. They’re paying for your expertise, your process, your time, your warranty, your communication, and the peace of mind that the problem is handled right.

The fastest way to earn more 5-star reviews is to solve the problems everyone else keeps getting 1-star reviews for. by @cody_novini

Keep it simple, stupid. It's not just a saying, it's how you keep people around.

When you're training someone new, the instinct is to hand them five steps at once and expect them to figure it out. That's not training. That's setting them up to fail.

Give them one step. Let them do it all the way through. Check it. Then move to the next one.

That's not micromanaging if you do it right. That's how people actually learn. by @cody_novini

Ultramarathon training comes with every emotion.

Highs. Lows. Doubt. Excitement. Pain. Confidence.

Some days you feel unstoppable. Other days you question why you signed up in the first place.

But that’s the point. It’s hard.

And we keep choosing hard things because they show us what we’re capable of. by @cody_novini

Credibility isn't something you can fake. It's something you earn by living through the problem first.

I used to run an HVAC company. I know what it feels like when technicians don't follow through, when CSRs drop the ball, when calls go unanswered and jobs get run blind.

Those aren't hypothetical headaches to me. They're scars from being in the trenches.

That's why guys trust what I'm building now. I'm not solving a problem I read about. I'm solving the one that used to cost me sleep. by @cody_novini
