NATURE:

The word nature derives from the Latin nātūra, from nātus, the past participle of nāscī, meaning “to be born”.

Originally, nātūra referred to birth, origin and the natural constitution of things — the very essence of what it means to exist.

At its heart, nature is not merely the world surrounding us. It is the force of becoming, growing and transforming; the eternal process through which life unfolds.

Perhaps this is what the word has always been trying to tell us: to be natural is, quite simply, to be born into being.

Nature is not something we own. It is something we belong to.
