SERIOUS CONCERN FOR INJURED WOLF CUB WANDERING ALONE IN BANFF NATIONAL PARK, CANADA

I’m extremely concerned about reports of an injured young wolf wandering alone near Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, Alberta.

The cub has reportedly been spotted multiple times, apparently limping, separated from its pack and showing unusually little fear of humans. This could indicate exhaustion, hunger or illness.

Without the protection of his pack, this young wolf faces serious dangers, including attacks from rival wolf packs, passing vehicles, encounters with humans and other predators such as bears. Being injured makes him even more vulnerable.

Parks Canada has reportedly been alerted, yet as far as I’m aware, no intervention has taken place.

I fully understand that wolves are wild animals and intervention isn’t always appropriate, but surely this cub deserves an urgent welfare assessment before it’s too late?

I’M URGING THE AUTHORITIES TO PLEASE CHECK ON THIS YOUNG WOLF BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE.

REPORT SIGHTINGS:

Alberta Fish & Wildlife: 1-800-642-3800

Please don’t approach or feed the wolf. Report sightings directly to wildlife authorities.

I guess I’ve got my very own Direwolf as he’s the same weight and size😜🐺💙

MBR BEAGLES IN THE METRO TODAY
Today, the Metro has published an article featuring John Curtin, who has spent the past five years living at Camp Beagle, outside MBR Acres.

The article exposes the grim reality of life for the thousands of beagles bred at MBR Acres for use in laboratory experiments: windowless sheds, no access to the outdoors, long hours without care, and puppies transported to laboratories as young as 16 weeks old.

We are grateful to the Metro for giving a voice to the dogs hidden behind those walls and bringing their suffering to a wider audience.

Read the full article on the Metro website. LINK IN OUR STORIES.

Please share and help us expose what happens behind the walls of MBR Acres.

🐺 HOW HUMANS TURNED THE WOLF’S BITE INTO A TOOL

Wolves use their mouths for hunting, defence, carrying, play and communication. Over thousands of years, humans selectively bred dogs to use these natural abilities for very different purposes.

🐺 Protection Dogs – German Shepherds, Malinois and Dobermans trained to bite and release threats on command.

🐺 Livestock Guardians – Kangals and Central Asian Shepherds bred to defend flocks against predators, including wolves.

🐺 Fighting Dogs – Japanese Tosas and historical fighting breeds developed for strength, gripping and combat.

🐺 Herding Dogs – Cattle Dogs and Corgis use controlled nipping to move livestock.

🐺 Retrievers – Labradors and Golden Retrievers bred for soft mouths to carry game without damaging it.

🐺 Assistance Dogs – Trained to gently retrieve phones, keys, clothing and other objects for people with disabilities.

All these behaviours have roots in the wolf’s natural use of its mouth. Humans simply selected and shaped them for different purposes.

And this is why wolfdogs can be so mouthy! Their mouths remain an important part of how they explore, play and communicate.

A BITE DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN AGGRESSION.

Happy Birthday Ocean. You are 4 💙

When autumn casts her golden spell, And ancient woods have tales to tell, Two wolves of blue emerge from mist, By falling leaves and moonlight kissed.

Their silver eyes hold secrets old, Of whispered stars and forests gold. They walk where earthly shadows fade, Two mystic souls the heavens made.

No mortal hand can claim their grace, No passing years their magic erase. For when the leaves turn amber bright, The blue wolves rise from fading light.

And those who glimpse them, wild and free, Have touched a world few ever see. For autumn’s gold shall fade away, But blue wolf magic is here to stay.
