Delaware is floating a plan to let AI agents run entire companies — no human at the helm.
About two-thirds of the Fortune 500 is incorporated there. Under the draft bill, an AI agent can run a business that can sue, be sued, hold property, and take on obligations — while the human "member" behind it keeps the profits and isn't liable for what the company does (except fraud or underfunding). A Berkeley law professor called it an overly generous liability shield.
Why it matters for you: right now, if your AI agent sends the wrong contract or texts the wrong seller, YOUR name is on it.
If any AI tool in your business can sign, send, or spend — write down whose name is behind it. Because right now, it's yours.
