It's my birthday, but from now on, October 31 is officially BEI DAY 🙌🎃
Yes, my birthday is on Halloween lol 😂 But I've never really been big on announcing it. I've always wanted to celebrate something bigger than myself. My brand, BEI.
A little backstory that most people don't know...
I started designing around 2016–2017, and that's when the concept of BEI first came to life.
Funny enough, BEI actually started as BEI Jeans 😂 Crazy, right?
But as my vision grew, so did the meaning behind the brand.
I've always loved the idea of making women feel beautiful, special, and valued.
The name BEI was inspired by the Chinese name Bei Bei (贝贝), which carries an association with something precious or cherished. There's also a beautiful Mandarin word, Bǎobèi (宝贝), meaning "treasure" or "darling."
I shortened the name to BEI and gave it my own meaning: Precious. Treasures. HER. ❤️
That same vision inspired BEI VESHJE. The word Veshje comes from the Albanian language, meaning "clothing" or "attire."
Different languages, but one vision: creating fashion that makes every woman feel like the treasure she is.
And that's how the identity behind House of BEI came together.
I also loved the connection to the word "BAE," which inspired a little saying I came up with:
"If she's BAE, put her in BEI." ❤️
There's a lot more to the story, but I think y'all get the concept. 😂
In 2020, I decided to take my vision seriously and officially bring BEI to life.
Now here we are, six years later, and we're just getting started.
So today, we're celebrating more than just my birthday.
Happy BEI DAY! 🎂🥳
