actually very glad the first pedal didn't work out because it looks childish compared to the second pedal... the metal plus thin cork was 1000% the way to go (and I would have done thin cork from the start except I already had the 1/4 inch so didn't want to go buy a new thickness. so when forced to get new cork anyways the thin cork was the obvious choice)

Does this type of overlock table have a specific name? I see that the machine is positioned at the same height as the table.
