The officiating has been interesting, to say the least, today.

Worst officiated game I have ever seen from start to finish. The NHL needs to check the refs' bank accounts after this game for suspicious deposits.

This is what I’m talking about. It’s not all about Schaefer, he’s just a piece. Isles need to add so many more pieces to be relevant. Isles didn’t win 4 cups just talking about Potvin, one of the greatest D of all time…

Dear dia mirza, Acc to you, a working wife helps prolong husband’s life. But your selective take might only be stressing that poor guy. BTW, next time speak with the same clarity and smile when other people’s religious festivals are around. . . . . #explore #fyp #diwali #seculardiamirza

In one of Manipur’s largest public demonstrations since ethnic violence erupted in 2023, over one lakh people reportedly took to the streets of Imphal on October 31, demanding an end to the prolonged conflict, justice for victims and the safe return of thousands of families displaced from their homes. While local newspaper The Sangai Express estimated participation at over one lakh, other national media reports described the gathering as involving thousands, without independently confirming the higher figure. The massive rally brought together members of the Meitei, Naga and other indigenous communities, with protesters marching through the streets carrying placards reading “Save Manipur” and “We Want Peace, Not Proxy War.” Organised by the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) alongside several Naga civil society organisations, the demonstration called for the immediate termination of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement between the government and Kuki militant groups. Protesters accused the Centre of facilitating what they described as a “proxy war” against indigenous communities, an allegation made by the organisers rather than an independently established fact. They also demanded the withdrawal of Assam Rifles from certain areas, stronger security measures and the rehabilitation of displaced families. The demonstration began at Tiddim Ground in Kwakeithel and culminated in a public gathering at THAU Ground in Thangmeiband. Similar rallies were reported in several hill districts, including Senapati and Chandel. Businesses and educational institutions remained closed in parts of Imphal, while security personnel were deployed along the protest route. At the gathering, organisers adopted a six-point resolution demanding government accountability, the protection of indigenous communities and the removal of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen. They also called for the state government’s resignation if their demands were not addressed. The protests come amid renewed tensions and killings in a state that has struggled with ethnic violence, displacement and deep divisions since May 2023.
