I’ve photographed cats all over the world, but I’ve never seen anything quite like Hong Kong’s shop cats.

Wandering through Sheung Wan, a neighborhood filled with shops selling dried seafood, herbs, and traditional medicinal ingredients, it felt like every corner had another cat tucked into a storefront or perched on a counter.

What stayed with me most were the relationships between the cats and the shopkeepers and customers alike. Companions, coworkers, and sometimes the ones running the place.

I only spent about two hours in this neighborhood but took thousands of photos. Here are a handful of my favorites. Comment below if you want to see more!

Well… that gamble didn’t quite pay off 🫠 Saw the rain starting to come down during the Sprint and thought we’d have a crack at switching bikes. Was running outside the points and figured it was worth a shot! Unfortunately there was bit of a miscommunication between myself and the team on when the second bike needed to be ready so when I rolled into pit lane we weren’t quite prepared. Apologies for my reaction in the heat of the moment but genuinely thought we had a chance to make something happen. Not how we wanted to finish the Sprint but sometimes you’ve just gotta roll the dice 🎲🤟

VDM choice of Business benefits Nigerian politicians more than Nigerians (my advice to VDM)☝️🏧
