10 years ago tonight, neither of us wanted to go to a Halloween party. We had both been through divorces, and we each had friends who basically pushed us out the door that night to go out. We were the only two people there who weren’t wearing costumes.

When Duncan turned around and said hello, I felt something so strong that it scared me and I ran off! Like fate had slapped me in the face… I knew he was supposed to be in my life.

We eventually connected, laughed, and we’ve been together ever since that night. Now married, with a wonderful blended family.

If you’re in a season where staying home on the couch feels easier, I hope this is your nudge to say YES anyway, because you never know who is going to turn around and say hello.
