Fire victims in Spokane can now receive free materials to bring their burned properties back to life. The Spokane Conservation District is offering free ponderosa pine saplings, mulch, hay, and grass seed to people affected by the fires in August. #kxly4news #spokane

Fought fire for years, was on the ground days after this fire and my family members were spared. But the wind taking this fire from the ground to the trees and to the top of the mountain was accelerated by standing trees. I'm genuinely curious why you would be replanting trees that will be a fire hazard again someday. There are better stabilizing ideas than this...
