BIG IN JAPAN ALL NOVEMBER! ❤️
What I packed:
My road bike, colorful jerseys, a bikini, rain pants, sunscreen, merino socks, a cotton tank top, a puffy jacket and sandals. Basically everything for sun & rain, long days on the bike and comfy sightseeing in between. And maybe some onsen time?!? 🧖♀️
What I didn’t pack:
My laptop. No calls, no emails – just my bike, 200 friends & lots of elevation to climb 📈
What I’m most excited about:
Riding through landscapes I’ve never seen before, epic mountain passes, delicious food, being spontaneous and meeting lots of riders & locals along the way.
The plan:
Fukuoka - Kagoshima with @radrace 🫶🏻
Kagoshima - Shikoku - Ōsaka, self-supported (no plan) 👀
ANY TIPS OR RECOMMENDATIONS? 🇯🇵
Wish me (and my bike) luck on the long flight 🤞🏻 (I’ve done this before, but I’m still super nervous!)

Wir sind im Sommer von Fukuoka nach Tokio geradelt. Du wirst eine wunderbare Zeit in Japan haben, da sind wir ganz sicher. Das einzige, was richtig genervt hat, war der Weg rein und raus in Osaka, weil wir gefühlt mehr Zeit an roten Ampeln als mit Fahren verbracht haben. Vielleicht findest du da eine bessere Alternative. Der Shimanami Kaido wurde ja schon genannt, ansonsten hatten wir vor Osaka eine sehr gute Zeit auf Shikoku und würden dort das bergige Inland empfehlen, falls das wettertechnisch noch möglich ist.

Make sure you have lights for the tunnels and for sure do the Shimanami Kaido
