Back from a team fishing trip to Japan, organised by my friend
@hugo.gallinaro.fishing .
So much to share about these fishing adventures and the endemic species we encountered. I’ll be telling their stories along the way.
First up, Japan’s local trout: the Kunja / Kundja, also known as the White-spotted Char.
A migratory fish and a fantastic opponent, incredibly aggressive and with behaviour quite different from that of trout. We were able to target them in very small rivers, heavily overgrown with branches and vegetation.
I had the chance to catch around 50 of them in just two days, with some reaching over 60 cm.
Hokkaido is a true natural wonder, where you can come across deer and even bears right in the middle of the wilderness. Thanks
@canta178 for the moment together
