I have a confession to make.

I’ve been practicing internal medicine for 30 years, and there’s one food I recommend all the time that I have never been able to enjoy eating myself.

Cottage cheese.

I know! 😂

From a nutritional standpoint, there’s so much to love about it.

One cup can provide around 25 grams of protein, along with calcium and other important nutrients.

And after 40, getting enough protein becomes especially important because we naturally begin losing muscle as we age. Maintaining muscle helps support our strength, metabolism, and ability to stay independent as we get older.

But here’s my problem.

I cannot get past the texture.

I’ve tried. Believe me.

Those little curds just aren’t for me.

And I know I’m not alone because I’ve heard the same thing from so many people over the years.

So I started looking for ways to use cottage cheese that didn’t involve sitting down with a bowl and a spoon.

And I was honestly surprised by what I discovered.

You can blend it into creamy sauces, use it in baked goods, add it to savory dishes, and even turn it into desserts that taste nothing like cottage cheese.

The best part? You’re still getting the nutritional benefits without having to eat it the traditional way.

So I put together a FREE collection of more than 15 cottage cheese recipes, including some combinations I think will genuinely surprise you.

And whether you absolutely love cottage cheese or, like me, struggle with the texture, I think you’ll find something you want to try.

❤️ Comment COTTAGE and I’ll send you the recipes!

Now I’m curious. Are you someone who LOVES cottage cheese, or are you in my texture-problem club?

Tell me below because I really want to know!

And if you enjoy learning practical, evidence-based ways to stay healthy after 40, come join my FREE Thrive After 40 community. We talk about everything from nutrition and weight management to heart health, menopause, sleep, and staying strong as we age.
