This Vijayadashami, let’s look beyond mythology and question the mindsets, systems, and people in power that perpetuate injustice and normalise toxicity.

“Jahaan naari mein shakti hai, wahin Maa Durga ka vaas hai.”
Where there is power in a woman, there resides Maa Durga.

Let’s make sure our actions reflect the goddess we worship 🙏🏻

Whether you celebrate Vijayadashami as the triumph of Maa Durga over Mahishasura or Dussehra as the victory of Lord Ram over Ravana, the stories and folklores may differ, but the message of good overcoming evil remains the same.

Mahishasura represents more than evil…. He symbolises deeply rooted egos that refuse to surrender their power.

Maa Durga emerged from the combined forces of Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma .. destruction, preservation and creation. Because dismantling deep-rooted toxicity requires all three.

And isn’t that what we must question today?

You cannot preach Hinduism, worship Maa Durga and continue to suppress, silence or violate women.

If you truly worship Shakti, look around. Question the systems, mindsets and people in power that continue to diminish it.

You cannot celebrate the victory of the feminine divine while remaining silent when women are denied their power, safety and dignity.

EP 3: सौंदर्य of Maximalism ❤️‍🔥

What does mandala art represent? ✨
A symbol of wholeness, the universe, and the beautiful connection between the spiritual and the everyday.

And ever wondered why mirror work is so common in Gujarati festive wear? Traditionally, mirrors are believed to reflect away the evil eye. 🪞✨

Inspired by the vibrant crafts and intricate patterns of Kutch, Gujarat, this look brings together heritage, colour, and intricate artistry .. making it perfect for the festive spirit of Navratri. ❤️‍🔥

Ep. 1 — सौंदर्य of Maximalism ✨

In this episode, we explore the roots of Indian maximalism & how different regions, cultures and crafts come together to tell one larger story of our heritage.

From Paithani silks of Maharashtra and Bandhani tie-dye of Gujarat to Tanchoi weaving and the intricate beauty of Zardozi, zari and cutdana embellishments.

Because Indian maximalism is more than colour and excess. It’s our culture, craftsmanship and heritage. ❤️
