Ukúsé and a few Edo women singing can literally bring down the walls of Jericho.

I really enjoyed this spiritual moment with the women of the Edo Association of Minnesota’s cultural group. A lot of my dad’s songs were either direct cultural songs passed down from generations before or adaptations, and “Awanuro” is definitely one of them.

This might be the closest to what “Awanuro” used to sound hundreds of years ago before it was modernized by my pops.

Your daddy was the greatest of all time @oririmusic. Is so sad we don’t have those turn tables plate/lp anymore. Please is there a place you can direct me to get all your dad’s songs? I need it in a flash or something.
