This Marathon Sunday, we’re cheering for the athletes in New York, like Amy Weigand, who is taking on 26.2 miles in a racing chair to fulfill a longtime goal.
After becoming disabled in her 20s, Amy thought her days of running and playing sports might be behind her. She later discovered sled hockey, then wheelchair racing, and qualified to race through all five boroughs.
Maryjean Jones started a GoFundMe to help cover Amy’s expenses. Read her story at the link in our bio.
Good luck to Amy and everyone taking part today!
