Of course, I am different from them.
They walk with just anyone to escape loneliness, while I choose to walk alone rather than walk with just anyone.
I have realized that I am stronger now.

Dressed for departure. ✈️
Dress for the journey not just the destination!
A few of my favorite travel looks, nothing fussy, just classic and simple.
Just a reminder that showing up well is a gift you give yourself and everyone you share the journey with. When I flew with Southwest in the ’80s, everyone dressed for the plane.
I’d love to bring a little of that back: comfortable and put together.

Let’s bring back “airport style” what are your thoughts about airport attire?

During WWII, British soldiers often organized theatrical performances to entertain troops and boost morale.

At Shornemead Fort near Gravesend, Kent, members of the Royal Artillery were rehearsing a Christmas charity show in 1940 when a coastal alert interrupted them.

With no time to change, the men rushed to their gun positions in dresses, stockings, and military helmets. Photographer John Topham captured the unusual scene.

Britain's Ministry of Information initially censored the photographs, fearing German propagandists would use them to ridicule British troops and undermine morale. However, some images appeared in The War Illustrated in February 1941.

Although the soldiers manned their coastal weapons, there's no confirmed evidence that they actually fired them during the alert.
