Lovely trip back to Manchester topped off with a really good visit with my Dad 🥺

Flirting with the home staff, calling everyone his favourite, winking for another biscuit, cracking a few jokes.. 🤣🤣

He might have lists of his teeth, but he hasn’t lost his sense of humour! Just can’t fully understand the jokes. But what it does do is give us both memories of most Sundays we’d spend together on the moor, from early afternoon until last orders. We had some right laughs and beautiful memories ❤️

Makes me sad that he’s still here but that’s no longer possible.

It’s hard to understand the true destruction dementia causes, until you’re in it. And I wouldn’t wish it on anyone in the world - as always, give them a ring if you’re lucky enough to be able to, or a hug if you’re even luckier ❤️
