Honestly, I used to love Halloween, then after the devastation of Gaza and the migration of the Sudanese in large numbers from the horrors in their countries, I saw their children’s faces at the school I worked at last when they saw the gory bloody costumes and was shocked that we didn’t think of it before celebrating it with them. I think if you live in a community that hasn’t been through this trauma, it would be fun! 🤩

Exactly Halloween is very connecting. In Egypt it’s an elitist thing because of its western origins but any festivity that brings people together and is about giving should be celebrated
