30 minutes agoReal Madrid is one of the biggest football clubs in the world. However, the way some of the club's media channels and affiliated outlets cover the team raises serious questions about fairness and objectivity. Over the past few months, Arda Güler has been delivering outstanding performances, creating numerous scoring opportunities and clearly demonstrating his importance to the team's attacking play. His statistics have placed him among Europe's most productive playmakers. The Spanish media have also acknowledged his influence on the game. Even Real Madrid fans themselves have questioned why Arda's contributions sometimes fail to receive the recognition they deserve. The recent Racing Santander match was another example. Arda provided the brilliant pass that set up Jude Bellingham's goal, yet much of the discussion focused on Bellingham's personal achievement rather than the quality of Arda's contribution. Of course, there is nothing wrong with celebrating Jude's success. But why does recognising one player's achievement so often seem to come at the expense of acknowledging another player's contribution? This is not about belittling Jude or questioning his quality. It is about recognising that Real Madrid has an entire squad of exceptional footballers. Arda Güler, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Federico Valverde and Diomande all deserve coverage and recognition that reflect what they actually contribute on the pitch. A club of Real Madrid's stature should not allow its media coverage to give the impression of being a promotional campaign centred on one individual. Football journalism should focus on highlighting performances, not artificially manufacturing stars. No player should have to compete with a PR narrative just to receive recognition for what he delivers on the pitch.
3 hours agoFour Real Madrid players make the FIFPRO World 11 shortlist, yet somehow Arda Güler isn't among them — despite his performances, contributions and impressive statistics. Interesting, isn't it? Let me spell out what seems to be the real issue: giving Arda the recognition he deserves would mean sharing the spotlight, and apparently that doesn't fit the agenda. The obsession with keeping Jude Bellingham at the centre of attention has become impossible to ignore. Is recognising genuine footballing quality really the priority here, or is it simply about making sure Jude stays relevant and constantly in the headlines? Because judging by the way Arda is repeatedly overlooked while Jude is relentlessly promoted, footballing merit seems to be the last thing on your minds. Apparently, the PR campaign matters more than the football itself. Pathetic.
