i’m still thinking about the owl so here’s this. it wasn’t incredible because he was an owl or because i saved him from the crows (i realize they are both predators). it was because he sat in front of me while i talked to him & until he’d calmed down and could decide where to go next. to be somewhere and afraid with your heart pounding hard enough to be seen and have someone to talk to you long enough for you to realize you’re safe and have somewhere to land is magical. it may be for me that the owl is the sign of an owl.

That is so remarkable, Colette. Thank you for sharing the story. I had a similar experience of connecting with a deer once, feeling into its heart with my heart to let it know it was safe. Two nervous systems synchronizing.

Wow! Awesome encounter!! Where can I read the story about how you save this owl from the crows?

I’ve been thinking about that eye blink, like that if a doll’s. How wonderful that you could commune with this creature.
