Had the honor of hosting @impactmagazine ‘s Black Women Defining Television Beauty Lounge & Luncheon 🤍 Standing at that podium introducing women who are shaping this industry, including Daytime Emmy winner @ambyrmichelle_, is a moment I’ll never forget. Thank you for trusting me with this one. And a special thank you to @momentswithtunisha, the founder of IMPACT Magazine. None of this would have happened without your vision. You built a room where Black women in television could be celebrated, and I’m so grateful I got to be part of it. 🙏🏾 It was also an honor to share the room with @sheiladucks, executive producer of Beyond the Gates, who is making history by bringing Black stories back to daytime television. 🤍 Styled by @thestylistguy Braids by @mslalajones Top: @simkhai Skirt: @nakedwardrobe Photos: @mfortphoto

Your words aren’t the problem. Your tone is. You can ask a hard question without making someone defensive. Try this: “Out of curiosity…” Three simple words. They soften the question. They lower resistance. They make curiosity feel genuine instead of confrontational. Then pay attention to your delivery. Smile while you speak. Your voice changes immediately. Same words. Different energy. How often is your tone creating tension you never intended? Out curiosity if you want to see the full video comment “watchnow”
