The International League of Peoples’ Struggle congratulates the Brazilian people for dealing a blow to the resurgence of fascism in Brazil with the electoral victory of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (“Lula”) over US-backed fascist puppet Flávio Bolsonaro.
The people of Brazil fought back against the imperialist attempt to interfere in their election, remembering too well the years of Flávio’s father, Jair Bolsonaro, who served under Brazil’s fascist military dictatorship.
The ILPS congratulates the people in their victory and stands with them as they continue to fight for their rights, land, and livelihood in Brazil amongst the disastrous inter-imperialist competition over the resources and territory of Latin America and the entire world.
