AGBU

With an independent and modernizing homeland, Armenia became more accessible to the diaspora. AGBU leadership understood that the nation would be an important anchor for building a stronger, more positive identity among diaspora youth. Discover Armenia was AGBU's first program, launched in 2003, to bring teenagers to the homeland each summer. Teens would not only tour but immerse themselves in community service during their stay. An international group of youth arriving for each trip meant that the diversity of Armenian backgrounds could find commonality in history and identity through a life-changing experience.

AGBU Discover Armenia continues uniting diaspora teens from around the world in Armenia through multiple sessions each year.
