With an independent and modernizing homeland, Armenia became more accessible to the diaspora. AGBU leadership understood that the nation would be an important anchor for building a stronger, more positive identity among diaspora youth. Discover Armenia was AGBU's first program, launched in 2003, to bring teenagers to the homeland each summer. Teens would not only tour but immerse themselves in community service during their stay. An international group of youth arriving for each trip meant that the diversity of Armenian backgrounds could find commonality in history and identity through a life-changing experience.

AGBU Discover Armenia continues uniting diaspora teens from around the world in Armenia through multiple sessions each year.

Repost • 🎥: @littlearmenias

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of attending AGBU’s 94th General Assembly, which also marked the organization's 120th anniversary, founded in Cairo in 1906. It was inspiring to meet so many passionate individuals actively involved in Armenian communities around the world. As a recipient of the AGBU Noubar Nazarian Innovators Fund grant, I also had the opportunity to lead a workshop on how social media can help bring more Armenians in the diaspora closer to their heritage. Celebrating this milestone alongside such dedicated people fills me with optimism and hope for our Armenian people.

At AGBU's 94th General Assembly earlier this month in Montréal, Canada, President Sam Simonian reflected on his first two years as AGBU’s eighth president and his duty to keep the founding principles that made AGBU the world’s largest Armenian nonprofit organization as its North Star.

“That North Star is the theme of our GA weekend,” he said. “It’s called Legacy.” President Simonian also spoke about his Touchpoints Tour, which since 2024 has taken him to AGBU communities around the world, giving him a firsthand understanding of each community. “There are more miles to go,” he added, “but I have already gained a greater appreciation for the essential value that our local communities bring to the Armenian Experience.”

In the Robert Pattinson-starring film "Primetime," composer and producer Ari Balouzian combines complex rhythms with deceptively simple melodies. Alarming synthesizers, low woodwinds, jazzy drums, fairytale-like strings, and flutes create a new character for the movie, with a unique palette. Combined with sound design and a stunning visual identity, Balouzian's soundtrack leaves viewers mesmerized.
