The arch is so tall it swallows the daylight and the valley opens out beneath you like a map. 🪨⛰️
Climb the stone steps from the valley floor and the entrance frames the whole of the Manifold. Inside, the floor is polished smooth and there is a second opening at the back. Winter afternoons give the best light into the mouth. 🌅📸
Stone Age hunters sheltered here, and the cave ended up on the cover of The Verve’s first album. 🎸🦴
